Jen's baby

Conner Stephan Holden was born yesterday morning at 9.27 weighing an impressive 9lb! Mother and baby are doing well! HOORAY! I got the text yesterday and once Jen's back home, settled and ready for visitors to come and coo over baby I'll be popping over with gifts for both boys (don't want Adam feeling left out), a little something nice for Jen herself, oh... and my camera to get a snap of the new arrival.

Thought this bit was over!

Yorkie keeps referring to me as his 'little incubator' which while being quite sweet... doesn't actually help how I feel! Although in all fairness I have been feeling loads better this last few days. It's just today I feel horrible again. I woke up being all snotty again and sneezing everywhere (something that has been happening for weeks and I'm just about used to) but I felt grim in my belly as soon as I got out of bed. We'd run out of milk yesterday and forgot to pick any more up so before taking Yorkie to work today all I had was a cup of black tea, knowing I'd be able to pick up some milk on the way home so I could have some breakfast before going to work myself this afternoon. The tea did not settle well without the milk. I used to always have my tea and coffee black... Then, on the way to taking him to work, we had to call in at the petrol station as I was well into the red. Petrol stations make me gip at the moment so I was feeling even worse b

Introducing 'Wiggle'

So... This is our BIG NEWS! WE'RE HAVING A BABY! This is our baby! Head on the left, facing away from every one, little arms just showing and a hint of legs down the right hand side. I'm sure I can see it's BUM CHEECKS! I am so impressed with this scan! I thought that it would be really hard to see the baby and we would not really be able to make it out. I had visions of us smiling and nodding while the ladies in the ultra sound pointed to bits of the screen and told us what parts of baby they were, while we couldn't actually make them out. I was so wrong! This little baba - aside from being determined to keep it's back to us (no doubt in a mood for being squashed between a full bladder and a scanner) - performed brilliantly! First thing we saw was the heart beat, then the head, then the body, and the arms, and the legs... and then it did a little wiggle! It look like it had just hiccuped for something! Then as the scan went on it started to roll about and wr

Another wedding!

As I am up and a very dodgy hour thanks to work, I thought I would share this bit of happy news with you all while I sup my morning cuppa and wait for my crunchy nuts to settle. Antoni (my step bro) and Hadil (sorry if i spelt it wrong) are getting married! It's no massive shock, they have been together for YEARS! I was chatting to him about it at mine & Yorkies wedding and Antoni had said he was thinking about asking her next year. Looks like he moved it up a bit! John has had his suspicions for a while that there might be a proposal, and well... I might have mentioned this conversation to mum under the strickest confidence so the two of us were just waiting for the big news to be announced! He'll be 'converting' in order to marry her without too much oppsoition from her family, but she's not the strickest of muslims herself. And besides, with his inteligence and wealth alone any family would be proud to have him as a son in law, and that's even before you
