GRR

Ok, back into rant mode! Seems like all I use this for is to sound off! My interview with Micro Markets has been postponed until Friday. Appartently they forgot about me and arranged to see the accountent instead. BOO! Had mum and John over today. They met me in Morecambe after work - having called into work to see me already too. Mum's not at all well. She's got his cough. Had it for months now and it's not clearing up. She's seen three different doctors and only got sent to the hospital for an x-ray last week - and it was a locum that sent her not her own doctors. I remember whatthese doctors were like, they were mine too beofre I left home. They're shite! She wont get her rersults back for at least two weeks and they haveno idea what's wrong. Although they were asking if she had been in contact with any asian children - could she have some into contact with anyone carrying TB!!!!! (in her old job as teacher twice asian children brought TB into the school, i&#

Ow, my heed!

Went round to Fran and Simon's last night after work for tea. Yorkie had been out with them and Ray for the afternoon bowling and drinking. It was a prett great night with lots of beer, good food and choc. Don't know where the time went, but one moment it was about 7pm, next thing we knew it was gone midnight! As usual there was great mirth over Simon injuring him self in a variety of ways - best of all being the falling down the stairs with a brand new dyson in his hands, opting to risk life and limb saving the machine rather than just letting it go. Well, they are expensive! Unfortunatly the conversation did drift round the the demon ex... I had visions of another fight with Yorkie all the way home once her name had been mentioned, but we managed not too. PHEW. I managed not to bitch about her too much. Sadly Simon used to be a good friend of hers, but typically she fucked that up by just being her self. Although I have to say 'thank god' for that, coz I REALLY don

Men... DOH!

Ray came over this morning. He and Yorkie were supposed to be doing some DIY up at Ray and Sarahs house. Needless to say they didn't actually do any work all day, they just drove around and fecked about as lads will do on a day out with out their women. Th best bit is when they ring me up while I'm sat at Morecambe train station waiting to come home. Would I like a lift home instead. Well, they've rung from my house so I know they aren't out and about and in the area, but it does occure to me that maybe they are off to the pub so I agree, having not bought a trin ticket yet. Trian comes. Trian goes. No boys. As I was about to call them (around the time I would have been half way home on the train) they arrive and pick me up. We drive back to Lancaster and the lads are chatting away. Seems that we are not going to pub or anything after all, and infact Ray has to be home very very soon to take Sarah to see her sick grandad, so would we mind being dropped in town. Sure, no

Over the hump

Well, it's wednesday, so I guess that means we're half way through the week already. Only two more days at work before the weekend. But I should have my dad over this weekend so there's not much chance of relaxation. There will be LONG rant the day he visits, I can almost promise you that! Don't get me wrong, I do love him and I am grateful for the money he gives me - face it, I need it to live most of the time. But he's such hard work to be around! I'm heavily pissed off with Helen, the woman who is acting as Post Office Manger while Mike is away. She has NO time for the staff! Three times today I asked her to change some £20s to £5s and £1s so that I could accually give my customers change... she never did it. "Oh, I'll be right on it!" Nothing. SHe told me she'd be "right there" to help a customer I wasn't trained to help. She didn't turn up at all - or even mention it to me later when the customer had given up and gone. At

YAY! Friends!

Work was just work, so not going to rant about that today (phew). I have applied for a new job - same wage, still in Morecambe - but working for Micro Markets as Sales Manager, which means that I will still be selling stuff for a living, but at least it'll be selling computer stuff so it's a step in the right direction. And i'll be creating and running the shop web site! Just need to buy some ink for my printer tomorrow so I can accually send my CV and stuff. Got back in touch with some friends today - or rather they got back in touch with me. Angie finaly started speaking to me again. Guess she thought I'd lied about sending her birthday prez like a certain other friend of ours did to both of us, when really Amazon had fucked it all up. She ended up getting TWO prezzies off me instead! lol. And Omi from Gamesite200 is back at long last, after going AWOL since aug 30th, so manybe there'll be more than just me and scorp on the 'quest to find the answers to the qu

NetDragons.com

I have found a great little rpg. I followed a few links from the dragon court site and arrived at www.netdragons.com . It's free - always good - but you really need to have a popup zapper to play it without going completely bonkers because it seems to send one up every 5 or 10 mins. I have to restart my pc every couple of hours if I play for a really long time ( which I have been doing ). It's got a chat room area where you can fight other players and the rest is a text based quest round this map and fight monsters type thing. It's loads of fun so long as your not wanting loads of fancy graphics. I tried to get Yorkie as hooked as me, but the networked computers don't seem to like having that many popups going on all the time, not on both computers at the same time anyway, so he got a little stressed about it and went back to runescape. The dragon court stuff is doing great though. I've signed all my Alzir Characters into the Yorkiling Beasts Clan and got most of th

Nothing of a day really... so far

Not much happened today. Got paid for last week, filled in time sheet for this week, went to work, came home... Am possibly going to the pub later tonight, but if it keeps raining likeit has been I really don't think I'll bother. My feet ache anyway. Had a good blast on Dragon Court. Have four of my five punters as Nobles now and have sent of to join Yorkie and Stu's Clan "Yorkling Beasts" for all five of them. Nothing else really to tell. Oh, yeah, last night I spoke to both my parents. Unfortunatly I spoke to Dad after Mum so I haven't been able to make her howl with laughter at his stupid comments yet. I'll have to call her in a day or two and let her know. 1) He has a cold - that virus cold/flu thing that we've all had and muddled through. Only he was convinced he has SAHS because these is a new kid from Hong Kong in his school. 2) He announced that this year my mother and her bf John would be taking HIS christmas gifts HIS mothers house, not him.

I HATE STAMP COLLECTORS!

Ok.. maybe hate is a strong word, but I am seriously unhappy with some of them. You see, working in the post office shop - and today being the day when the new collectable stamps have come out, I have been ever so slightly inundated with stamp collectors. Unfortunatly, I have never sold any of these special packs before, don't really know where they are all kept or how to key them into the till. It's not that I haven't been trained propely as such, but I haven't been told where EVERYTHING was, and some of the PLUs were missing. So it all went tits up and I had to call for help three times while I had a crowd of irate customers muttering about how think sales girls are. I HAVE A DEGREE! I AM NOT THICK! I JUST HATE RETAIL! But aside from that the days been ok - had a couple of upperty customers, but nothing I can't handle. When I got home Yorkie had been to the pub with Ray (Sulk, I wanted to go too and he was home when I got back - pout). Stuart (Yorkie's mate fr

He's great with some stuff, but...

Right, I'm having a gripe. I've been to work this morning, worked my ass off running around with stock and having the fire alarm damn near deafen me when some idiot tripped it by mistake, pissed about with the job centre signing off and come home to find the only two things I asked my feller to do not done. Granted he has done a couple of other things - washing my work shirt for tomorrow but then taunting me by saying he hasn't. But the two really important things I needed him to do - and have asked him to do every day this week - still haven't been done. Simple things! I asked him to make a new vets appointment for Muppet (his cat that I have been trying to steal, but who he insists his still HIS cat, even though I buy half her food and pay her vets bills etc) and he tonight point blank refused. Appartently its 'easier' if I sort it out because I took her before. All he had to do was call and make an appointment for an afternoon next week. And he volunteered to

The New Job

Well, having bummed around for a couple of months after finishing college and hoping against all hope that I might finally get my dream job, I have been forced into joining a work agence and have been given possibly the most boring job in the whole of retail. I work in a post office shop in Morecambe. All I do all day evey day is sell stamps. It's DULL! But I am getting a little more working for them than I was on job seakers so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. I suppose... But the good news is that I only seem to be working week days and I never work past 5.35 so I can still have life with the small amount of cash I am earning. Ans I come home to a fresh coffee and my dinner made for me by my wonderful Yorkie (the BF in case you are wondering, not a yorkshire terrier as he has ocasionally been mistaken for because of his name). It's only been my third day today and it seems to be going ok. There's practically no stress involved - not like my old job in morecambe
