A strange Christmas

I don't think this year was the Christmas we were all hoping for. It's been a bit of a let down, not that it is any ones fault, it's just been a bit that way this year. For a start a fair few of us have been ill, myself included. Me, Rachel and the nephews have all had colds, nasty ones too. Poor Chris missed Christmas dinner all together because he'd been sick, and I missed half of the day sleeping on the settee (which might sound normal to some people, but not the way we do Christmas), and Bob's gf (also called Rachel) wound up catching this cold too so by the end of Christmas she was feeling crappy too. This is on top of two of us ladies being 6 months pregnant and knackered to start with. Jenny's not been having the best of times in the latter part of this year and that's weighing heavy on her mind and not let her have as much fun as she should have been able to have, and to cap that off her car decided to pack in and we couldn't get anyone to come

I'vre got that Festive feeling!

I love Christmas SO much! Last night was the works Christmas Do, with dinner at Quite Simply French, and drinks in town afterwards. I don't think we'll be allowed back into QSF ever again, what with Suize setting fire to the place, Rob shouting about Anal beads and Butt plugs, not to mention Paul and David mucking about with their Secret Santa Festive Thongs! Loads of fun! My secret santa brought me a tiny little santa suit for baby! Ever so sad that by next Christmas Wiggle will be far too big to wear it - but there's nothing stopping me from dressing Wiggle in it, taking a photo and saving the pic for next years christmas cards! I treated myself to one G&T with dinner, and then a half of the black stuff in town afterwards. Poor Danny got ID'd in every pub we went to (he does look ever so young an innocent for his 19 years) and I felt massively OLD buying him his pint and sneaking it off to him while I supped tonic water - at 28 I was the oldest by YEARS! I would h

Busy Week

Not bad for a week off work. On Monday I built my crib and nursing chair On Tuesday I painted 5 canvases for baby (all cartoon type jungle animals) which I can put up in the nursery Wednesday I slept! And then went shopping for some last minute Christmas bits and a new outfit for my Christmas party tonight Today I have the gas man coming over to give us a quote on the boiler, then I am going to Jen's for a girly afternoon with her and Gill, this evening I'm off to my works Christmas do. Dunno what's planned for much of tomorrow, although there's an end of year trip to the pub with work in the afternoon that I plan to go to And then that's it! I'll have to make a last trip to Windermere for work on Sat but after that we'll be off for Christmas! WOOHOO! I love time off work, it's so relaxing, chilling out, sat around doing nothing! HA!

Shopping

I have spent my first money on Baby! I spent Wednesday afternoon with Jill and while I was there she had her new crib delivered from Boots online , one she's bought on sale down from £60 to £45. It's a nice crib too, wooden, swinging (or not if you want) and complete with mattress. We built the main part of it together (with some help from little Morgan, ahh) and it went together nice and easy - apart from one washer and bolt that I managed to get jammed but Gary fixed with ease when he came home. Basically I was so impressed by this crib that I decided that I wanted one too, and as it was on sale I might as well get it now before they run out or go back up in price. And I was too late! Boots had sold out! I was gutted! But since I was browsing the web for baby stuff I thought I may as well carry on and had a look at the kiddicare.com web site that Rachel had mentioned getting a nursing chair from, and you'll never guess what! Ok, you probably will.... The same crib

Wedding Photo Announcement!

Some months ago we asked people what wedding photos they wanted, and we were given a list of who wanted what, and in what sizes. HOWEVER! This list - which was being kept safely in the back of the album - has vanished! So anyone who wants some photos (esp family) PLEASE help us out by clicking on this link and going to our Wedding Photos page , choosing (again) and letting me know (again) so I can pass this on and get the photos printed up for you all. We should have had this sorted out months ago, but things being what they are it just kept being put back and back until we realised it was almost Christmas and that it would be a good idea to get the photos done by then, when we would be seeing most people, and at least mailing to the rest. Thank you!

December? Already?

It is just me, or has this year flown past at a terrifying rate? I can hardly believe Chrstmas is right round the corner already. There's still so much stuff that needs to be done; we've not finished Christmas shopping, we still haven't finished sorting out the boiler (although we do have a number to all now) and we are no where near getting that sodding kitchen put in! And lets face it, having a functioning boiler before the baby is born and freezing is a good idea, as is having a kitchen where I can clean and sterlise bottles, prepare food for baby etc is a good idea too - just in case there are problems with breast feeding. In fact, a nice kitchen to make good food for me so I can actually MAKE good breast milk for baby would be handy! I can't honestly see the kitchen going in before Christmas now. The boiler is a must though so I think I might have to make 'the call' on Tuesday and get a price at least. Once the New Year is here work starts on the Nurs
