What a day! My apt for the PCOS scan was 1.50pm. When I got to the hospital I went through to the women's unit and tried to check in, but the reception shutters were down with a note up saying "Lunch 1pm - 2pm"... ten mins after my apt... A couple expecting a baby arrived at the same sort of time, with an appointment for 1.55pm, and between us we tracked down a member of staff who assured us that we could wait in the waiting room and we would be called, regardless of reception being shut. Fair enough. And at 1.50pm a nurse (I assume) came though to find out who we were and book us in. Only my name wasn't on his list. Turns out I should be at X-Ray, not the women's unit! DOH! I didn't even know they did this kind of scan in x-ray. Women's unit made sense, being a woman's problem, and I had been there for scans carrying Jack. Anyway, that gave me about 2 seconds to get across the hospital to the right department, and i was only a couple of mins late, al
