Weigh In #5

I felt bad for my poor Hubby today. He got on the Wii Fit to get weighed this morning, it said he had lost 2 lb but his chart only dropped 1 lb. He weighed himself twice and it did the same. We think it's something to do with the Wii Fit not operating in fractions of pounds. Regardless, his chart says 18 stone so that's how he wants it recording. I suspect it will be well under 18 stone on his next weigh.

I weighed in with a 3lb loss making me 12 stone 12 pounds. The first time I have been under 13 stone in ages! I'm thrilled, delighted, ecstatic! But couldn't go too mad because Hubby was still upset about his confusing result.

I have now lost more than half of my original loss target. 38lb gone, 35lb to go! I'm not planning any more 9 month breaks to have another baby so hopefully this 2nd half will shift a little quicker, heehee.

We have something of a challenge ahead of us this week. Friday is Hubby's birthday!!! So we are celebrating with the usual takeaway tea and cake! And that means some serious sensible eating the other 6 days of the week.

Weigh In:

  • Me: - 3lb
  • Hubby: -1lb
  • My total loss since Nov 2013:  38lb
  • More than half my target weight lost since November!!!!

Things I have learned this week:

  • Walking to town is good, blowing ALL my active points on Costa Coffee is bad
  • The less sweets and chocolates I eat the tastier fruit becomes - really!
  • Feeling tight jeans starting to get loose feels good :)

Targets for this week:

  • Be super strict with my points because it's Hubby's birthday on Friday
  • Find out what Indian Takeaway meal I can choose which isn't crazy for points
  • Walk to town at least twice, only have Costa once

Facebook has changed it’s policy for posts to Facebook pages like mine. They are only showing posts to a few likers unless I pay to boost the views. Since I don't earn money from my blog (or at least not much, not even enough to buy one posh a coffee a week) I wont be doing that. The best way to make sure you will see my blog posts is to subscribe by email up there on the right. I usually only email once a week and include an invitation to my blog hop so you can share your posts too.

You can also go to my page, hover over the “liked” button and select get notifications. Then you will see my posts and status updates in your notifications. Mumma Walker on Facebook

Recipe: Pigsty Pie

This is one that we made up, although we are far from the first or only people to make a pie using pork or pork mince and call it a Pigsty Pie. So let's just say that this is our version of it. It smells great and reminds me of stuffing at Christmas, making it feel much more "naughty" than it is! This serves four people and it a nice 9 points per serving. You will need these for the mash: 400g potatoes 400g sweet potatoes 4-5 good sized carrots Salt Pepper Nutmeg Simply chop the roots, boil in salted water until tender, and mash! Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. The pie filling: 10 sprays low fat cooking spray (e.g. 1 cal) 1/2 lb lean pork mince 2 onions, finely chopped 3 apples, diced 1 leek, chopped 5-6 big mushrooms 2 tbs plain flour 1 tsp sage 1 tsp parsley Salt Pepper 1 vegetable stock cube 1/2 hot water 2 tsp English mustard Fry the onions in the cooking spray until they start to soften, add the mince. Once the meat starts to colour add the apple, leek and mush
