New pretty things!

I've had a busy day!

As well as churning through my steps and my wifi fit yoga, I also had two develiveries! My shoes, and my frocks! Naturally I tried them all on... The shoes could have been MADE for me! The dresses? Well I still have a way to go. The hen night dress does up, but it is still a little too tight to look good. I have till July to get into it properly. The wedding day dress won't fasten up without me putting massive strain on the zipper. I have till August to sort that out.

I will do it!

I have also helped out at Beavers with Jack and Tom, and tonight was Jack's first settling in night at Cubs! He gets invested next month. Meanwhile, Tom will finally be invested into Beavers NEXT WEEK! I can't get over just how fast these boys are growing up. They have a camp coming up in a couple of weeks too!

This lovely weather that we're having is doing wonders for my motivation. Although I have been out in it a bit too much; my complexion is more than a little rosie and people have commented. Oops... I really should add sun cream to my shopping list but don't want to jinx the weather!

Work tomorrow, and the scouts committee meeting so I doubt I'll get as many steps in, but I'll do my best! I have a rack full of pretty frocks I need to get back into - and my new ones too! Call me shallow If you want, but this is motivation that works for me right now.

Facebook has changed it’s policy for posts to Facebook pages like mine. They are only showing posts to a few likers unless I pay to boost the views. Since I don't earn money from my blog (or at least not much, not even enough to buy one posh a coffee a week) I wont be doing that. The best way to make sure you will see my blog posts is to subscribe by email up there on the right. I usually only email once a week and include an invitation to my blog hop so you can share your posts too.

You can also go to my page, hover over the “liked” button and select get notifications. Then you will see my posts and status updates in your notifications. Mumma Walker on Facebook

Recipe: Pigsty Pie

This is one that we made up, although we are far from the first or only people to make a pie using pork or pork mince and call it a Pigsty Pie. So let's just say that this is our version of it. It smells great and reminds me of stuffing at Christmas, making it feel much more "naughty" than it is! This serves four people and it a nice 9 points per serving. You will need these for the mash: 400g potatoes 400g sweet potatoes 4-5 good sized carrots Salt Pepper Nutmeg Simply chop the roots, boil in salted water until tender, and mash! Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. The pie filling: 10 sprays low fat cooking spray (e.g. 1 cal) 1/2 lb lean pork mince 2 onions, finely chopped 3 apples, diced 1 leek, chopped 5-6 big mushrooms 2 tbs plain flour 1 tsp sage 1 tsp parsley Salt Pepper 1 vegetable stock cube 1/2 hot water 2 tsp English mustard Fry the onions in the cooking spray until they start to soften, add the mince. Once the meat starts to colour add the apple, leek and mush
