Giant spiders in my kitchen floor!

Ohh! I had a NASTY dream last night! Really, really horrid!

In this dream we were having the kitchen done out, and as part of this the floor had been taken up. This is not likely as the celler is directly blow our kitchen, but it's a dream, so hey. In the bit where I start to remember the dream I am stood in the kitchen, just inside the door, looking towards the back door (where for some reason we are thinking about having a down stairs toilet installed - also not likey. There's no where like enough room, in my dream my kitchen is the same as real life, but bigger). The floor between me and the back door has been removed and there is a lot of rubble and torn up floor boards scattered about. Very messy. Then I see it - in the rubble, on the front-room-wall side of the kitchen.

A MASSIVE BLACK SPIDER!

It's running away from me along the edge of the wall, and then scuttles off towards the back door. I think, ok, so long as it's running AWAY from me, that's ok. I can cope with that. This is my general feeling towards spiders. I don't wish them any hard, just that they stay away from me.

The next bit is a blur... I remembered it this monrning, but it's faded now. I know it involved me telling Yorkie about it, and him laughing at me in the dream, assuring me that it probablly wasn't all that big really, and that it wount come anywhere near me.

But of couse it does, and it's climbing on me, and I'm terrified that it's going to bite me, and it's ON MY FACE!

Then - thank god, the alarm went off (an hour late) and I didn't get bitten at all.... Phew! Never been so glad to take Yorkie to work in all my life! Anything to get away from that dream!

I looked it up on DreamMoods.com when I got home. Here's what it said:

Spiders
To see a spider in your dream, indicates that you are feeling like an outsider in some situation. Or that you may want to keep your distance and stay away from an alluring and tempting situation. The spider is also symbolic of feminine power. Alternatively, a spider may refer to a powerful force protecting you against your self-destructive behavior. If you kill a spider, it symbolizes misfortune and general bad luck.

Kitchen
To see a kitchen in your dream, signifies your need for spiritual nourishment. It also forewarns that you will be met with some depressing news.

Construction
To see construction in your dream, signifies a new surge of energy, ambition and renewed confidence. It may also represent the rebuilding of your own life.

Recipe: Pigsty Pie

This is one that we made up, although we are far from the first or only people to make a pie using pork or pork mince and call it a Pigsty Pie. So let's just say that this is our version of it. It smells great and reminds me of stuffing at Christmas, making it feel much more "naughty" than it is! This serves four people and it a nice 9 points per serving. You will need these for the mash: 400g potatoes 400g sweet potatoes 4-5 good sized carrots Salt Pepper Nutmeg Simply chop the roots, boil in salted water until tender, and mash! Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. The pie filling: 10 sprays low fat cooking spray (e.g. 1 cal) 1/2 lb lean pork mince 2 onions, finely chopped 3 apples, diced 1 leek, chopped 5-6 big mushrooms 2 tbs plain flour 1 tsp sage 1 tsp parsley Salt Pepper 1 vegetable stock cube 1/2 hot water 2 tsp English mustard Fry the onions in the cooking spray until they start to soften, add the mince. Once the meat starts to colour add the apple, leek and mush
