I've seen Glenn!

Went into town this morning after dropping Yorkie off at work. The plan was to buy some more hair dye to cover my roots (the blond and grey is showing under the red now - pout) and call into my second bank to organise internet banking so I can use this account (that I haven't touched for years) for my Avon, therefore not confuse my money for Avon money etc... I though "Quick job, park at the supermarket, buy hair dye from there, dive into the bank, ask for e-banking, home by 9.30"

HA! No chance! On a Wednesday this particular bank doesn't open until 10am... I was in town at just after 8.30 - with the dye already bought, and nothing better to do.

So I did something random... I went to the local market to see if Micro Markets was still trading. And they are - just - and guess who was in the stall? None other than GLENN! So I went up for a chat.

The first couple of minutes was a strain on him... he wsn't too happy, or maybe nervous. I asked him how his business was going and he wasn't for giving much away. He did admit to having "just" got back onto ebay (ahem), but then things started to flow again.... hee hee hee

He's signed up for some UK dating agences... online ones... free ones... you know the type. I think on line dating is great of it's done right - three cheers for Match.com and UKSingles etc (I recall my single days with fond memories). He's signed up for GirlsDate4Free.net and he has several girls on the go. Bunny boilers the lot of them by the sounds of it. He does seem to attract that type....

Still, nice to see that nothing ever changes, for better or worse!

And speaking of changes; it my high school reunion on Friday! It's being knocked down and a new school built on the grounds (why??) so it's an all years do. Sadly, we can't bring our other halves. I would have LOVED to have shown Yorkie off.

Angela's going with me - we've been mates since we were like 5 or something, on and off, and have recently got back in touch via friends reunited (god love the internet!), Ailsa might be there too, she's the one who told me about the reunion in the first place so she should be there!

I can't help but wonder who else might turn up. Some I look forward to more than others... like friends you just drift from (and want to get to know again), bullies (who you want to be more successful than), and good friends you just fell out with (maybe you'd rather see the bullies!), but there's always the chance that as it's an all years thing that the people that cross your mind wont even be there, or if they are you don't bump into them. And then there's sods law which means that the one person you DONT want to see, will be the first person to walk into.

I'll take my camera, and let you know!

Hi honey, I wasn't being specific about any one person being a bunny boiler... he never mentioned any names and we have always had a laugh and exagerated stories past and present when we have a natter. it's been months and we had a lot to catch up on. He did say there was someone he liked very much and didn't say much about her. If you say your his girlfriend then she must be you, in which case, don't worry, your not a bunny boiler!

Forget about Alison. She's a bit of a freak, she has a feller of her own but can't stand the fact the G wants to meet people and have a relationship. She likes to try to get in the way and stop him from what I have seen, although I try to avoid her mostly.

I can't really give any advice about what you have got into... I don't really see him very often so I have no idea what his head state is. I guess it would be the same advice I'd give anyone - if you think he's worth it keep going, if not, ditch him. Guys are generally terrible at picking up the phone or emailing and if work has got busy or there's a chess tournament G's thinking about getting into he'll be tied up and difficult to get through to even if your stood infront of him shouting in his face.

Best of luck to you. Persoanlly, I'd like to see G in a good loving realtionship. I hope it works out for you. feel free to keep in touch.

Wedding List.... (OMG)

A new kitchen.... Really! We need one! So I've been saying to people that we'll want either B&Q or Ikea vouchers... Only I can't say which yet because I haven't choosen which one I like best: B&Q Oak Shaker style: ( on froogle ) ( on their site ) Ikea: Tildaholm BECAUSE... our kitchen is REALLY badly laid out, the storage is dropping to bits, the seal round the sink is black and festering, the oven hasn't worked for YEARS (the hob and grill are ok though), the seal on one of thef ridge doors has gone too, and the floor... half tiled, half bare concret! But now I have to choose which one I like best, and get the measurements sorted out, and then get the prices for what I can have in the space we've got... PHEW!

Recipe Review: Hairy Bikers liver & bacon with onions & gravy

I need a bit of comfort food at this time of year. I really love this recipe from The Hairy Bikers:  Liver and bacon with onions and gravy  and freely admit that I have whipped this from the BBC Food website. I follow the recipe (but sometimes chuck some mushrooms in too) and split it four ways at 11 pro points per serving. It's a classic, and even my 6 year old likes liver cooked like this - the 4 & 2 year olds need a little extra ketchup to convince them. The Hairy Bikers’ traditional liver and bacon makes a simple supper packed full of flavour and bursting with vitamins and minerals Ingredients 450g/1lb lambs’  liver , sliced and fully thawed if frozen 25g/1oz  butter 2 tbsp  sunflower oil 4 tbsp  plain flour 1  onion , halved lengthways and sliced 125g/4½oz rindless streaky  bacon  rashers, each cut into 4–5 pieces 1  beef stock  cube 500ml/18fl oz  jus t-boiled water 1–2 tsp tomato  ketchup salt and freshly ground  black pepper Preparation method Rinse the liver in a cola
