MM IS GONE!!!!!!


It's official! MM has closed it's door forever - or will have by the end of today.

Luckily I managed to get hold of the office just half an hour before Jane left forever and explained the whole P45 situation to her. She's found all the pay info and is senidng it off for me (what I STAR! I have got her phone number for just in case I can afford a book keeper of my own one day)

She said, casually in conversation, that the place was gone, shut, closed, finished. G fired her over the phone on Tuesday (sound familiar?). Every one has been laid off. Only LapDog was left down in the shop packing up boxes and putting stuff in cages.

G is going "self employed" it seems. He's keeping the Lanc market stall for now though. I'm sure that means the SB and FB, and FB's LapDog will still have work to do... assuming the FB can get her very very fat self out of Morecambe into Lanc to do some work.

And he never mentioned a WORD of that to me on the phone the two times I have spoken to him in the last 2 weeks. He didn't even say to me that I should call Jane beofre 1pm to make sure I catch her in the office. He just said to call her this week! She's only been in today and Tuesday so this is the first and only time I have been able to get hold of her!

Maybe he thought I knew - with my sudden contact and demand of paper work I can see why he might have. Or maybe he thought it was fun to try and shaft me one more time.

Perhaps I should call in on him when I'm town next week.... say hello!

Recipe: Pigsty Pie

This is one that we made up, although we are far from the first or only people to make a pie using pork or pork mince and call it a Pigsty Pie. So let's just say that this is our version of it. It smells great and reminds me of stuffing at Christmas, making it feel much more "naughty" than it is! This serves four people and it a nice 9 points per serving. You will need these for the mash: 400g potatoes 400g sweet potatoes 4-5 good sized carrots Salt Pepper Nutmeg Simply chop the roots, boil in salted water until tender, and mash! Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. The pie filling: 10 sprays low fat cooking spray (e.g. 1 cal) 1/2 lb lean pork mince 2 onions, finely chopped 3 apples, diced 1 leek, chopped 5-6 big mushrooms 2 tbs plain flour 1 tsp sage 1 tsp parsley Salt Pepper 1 vegetable stock cube 1/2 hot water 2 tsp English mustard Fry the onions in the cooking spray until they start to soften, add the mince. Once the meat starts to colour add the apple, leek and mush
