I'vre got that Festive feeling!

I love Christmas SO much!

Last night was the works Christmas Do, with dinner at Quite Simply French, and drinks in town afterwards.

I don't think we'll be allowed back into QSF ever again, what with Suize setting fire to the place, Rob shouting about Anal beads and Butt plugs, not to mention Paul and David mucking about with their Secret Santa Festive Thongs! Loads of fun!

My secret santa brought me a tiny little santa suit for baby! Ever so sad that by next Christmas Wiggle will be far too big to wear it - but there's nothing stopping me from dressing Wiggle in it, taking a photo and saving the pic for next years christmas cards!

I treated myself to one G&T with dinner, and then a half of the black stuff in town afterwards. Poor Danny got ID'd in every pub we went to (he does look ever so young an innocent for his 19 years) and I felt massively OLD buying him his pint and sneaking it off to him while I supped tonic water - at 28 I was the oldest by YEARS!

I would have loved to have stayed out all night with them, but I didn't think taking bump into Hustle was a good idea, not with the temptation to drink to excess and high likelihood of my stumbling over and squishing Wiggle, but I WILL be going for a proper night out with the guys and gals from work at the first chance!

This afternoon the office is going off to Caton for more drinks, and I can't wait to go. Again it's gonna next to or no booze for me, especially since I'll have the car too so I can pick hubby up from work, but it's fun watching my co-workers get legless and finding out stuff about them that maybe I shouldn't know, hee hee hee!

I've spent this morning burning Christmas songs onto CD so I can enjoy them in the car for the next few days while we do the tour of the folks. I'm feeling full of festive fun, and even the bitter cold outside just looks pretty to me. I keep breaking out into song - and considering that my voice is far from perfect before my diaphragm got shoved about by baby it's not necessarily a good thing for the people around me. BUT if I play the CDs loud enough if might just drown me out

BUT

This is likely to be my lost post this side of Christmas, so I want to wish you all a very
Merry Christmas
I hope Santa brings you everything you want and more.

See you on the other side!

Wedding List.... (OMG)

A new kitchen.... Really! We need one! So I've been saying to people that we'll want either B&Q or Ikea vouchers... Only I can't say which yet because I haven't choosen which one I like best: B&Q Oak Shaker style: ( on froogle ) ( on their site ) Ikea: Tildaholm BECAUSE... our kitchen is REALLY badly laid out, the storage is dropping to bits, the seal round the sink is black and festering, the oven hasn't worked for YEARS (the hob and grill are ok though), the seal on one of thef ridge doors has gone too, and the floor... half tiled, half bare concret! But now I have to choose which one I like best, and get the measurements sorted out, and then get the prices for what I can have in the space we've got... PHEW!

Recipe Review: Hairy Bikers liver & bacon with onions & gravy

I need a bit of comfort food at this time of year. I really love this recipe from The Hairy Bikers:  Liver and bacon with onions and gravy  and freely admit that I have whipped this from the BBC Food website. I follow the recipe (but sometimes chuck some mushrooms in too) and split it four ways at 11 pro points per serving. It's a classic, and even my 6 year old likes liver cooked like this - the 4 & 2 year olds need a little extra ketchup to convince them. The Hairy Bikers’ traditional liver and bacon makes a simple supper packed full of flavour and bursting with vitamins and minerals Ingredients 450g/1lb lambs’  liver , sliced and fully thawed if frozen 25g/1oz  butter 2 tbsp  sunflower oil 4 tbsp  plain flour 1  onion , halved lengthways and sliced 125g/4½oz rindless streaky  bacon  rashers, each cut into 4–5 pieces 1  beef stock  cube 500ml/18fl oz  jus t-boiled water 1–2 tsp tomato  ketchup salt and freshly ground  black pepper Preparation method Rinse the liver in a cola
