Friendly Friday #8

It's a Friday Blog Hop & Link Up but it runs all weekend so you have plenty of time to get your links up and meet some other lovely bloggers. You can post just about anything, but please remember mine is mainly a parenting blog so please keep your posts reasonably family friendly. I wont block you for a bit of swearing but posting anything really offensive will get you the boot. It's not fair to others who follow the rules.

The Rules!

  1. Follow your Host at  CharlieBeth aka Mumma Walker and Mumma Walker Tries for a Girl
  2. Follow the Featured Blogger (below)
  3. Check out & link up / follow as many other bloggers as you can it only works if you remember to follow others. Please don't just link up and leave.
  4. When you read a post by someone else that you like make sure you click "like" on the hop! Each "like" is a vote and the post (or posts) with the most likes gets to be the FEATURED BLOGGER on the next hop!
  5. Not a rule, but a polite request: It would be fab if you grab a button to share on your post, blog page, or hops  page , share on social media

This Week we have THREE:

A very welcome return of

"Family Fever"

A parenting blog about life with 3 small children. Surviving parenthood with a smile on my face. Chat, rants, reviews, competitions and anything else that makes me want to write.

Hey y'all! I'm Blair and I blog over at Baby for Scale. I'm a geologist, mother, and wife. I document my every day life (and random musings) specifically dealing with my little munchkin, Molly. They say, "To spot a geologist in the wild, look for someone who only includes people in their photos for scale." In this household, we use a baby for scale.... not just as a measure of outcrops (which is often), but as a measure in our lives.

"A Dish of Daily Life"

Michelle is a soccer mom with 3 tweens/teens, and is married to her college sweetheart. She's a WAHM, an avid photographer, runner, and is completely addicted to social media! Her family also includes 7 furry family members, 3 dogs and 4 cats. Her blog covers parenting and sports mom issues, social media, photography, and an occasional recipe.

Recipe: Pigsty Pie

This is one that we made up, although we are far from the first or only people to make a pie using pork or pork mince and call it a Pigsty Pie. So let's just say that this is our version of it. It smells great and reminds me of stuffing at Christmas, making it feel much more "naughty" than it is! This serves four people and it a nice 9 points per serving. You will need these for the mash: 400g potatoes 400g sweet potatoes 4-5 good sized carrots Salt Pepper Nutmeg Simply chop the roots, boil in salted water until tender, and mash! Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. The pie filling: 10 sprays low fat cooking spray (e.g. 1 cal) 1/2 lb lean pork mince 2 onions, finely chopped 3 apples, diced 1 leek, chopped 5-6 big mushrooms 2 tbs plain flour 1 tsp sage 1 tsp parsley Salt Pepper 1 vegetable stock cube 1/2 hot water 2 tsp English mustard Fry the onions in the cooking spray until they start to soften, add the mince. Once the meat starts to colour add the apple, leek and mush
