Taking all four boys out - alone!

Today I ventured out with the boys, all four of them, by my self!!! I didn't go far though, just down the hill to Nursery because they've been holding Stay-n-Play sessions fpr newborn to 8 years old during the holidays and I thought it would be a good idea if we went (beats being at home!)

It was great, the kids had a fab time ( apart from Tom randomly biting Jack, really hard too. Left a mark )

Freddie got fussed over a lot! I hadn't realised just how many people had taken an interest in my pregnancy, I had mums I hardly know - as in never really spoken to or simply haven't registered in my brain at all - come to speak to me about having four lads now, and how they weren't surprised he was big on account of how big my bump had been by the end of the school year, etc etc etc... I must walk round with my head in the clouds or something!

Either that or I'm spending so much time trying to herd my kids from one place to the next that I simply don't see all the other mums going "that's the mental one with three boys under 7 and a baby on the way"

I was even randomly accosted by a lady we pass walking her dogs when I'm on the school run. We always nod and smile when we pass but that's all. I had Freddie in the sling with my coat fastened up ( it was raining ) and we saw this lady on the street. "Still waiting?" She asks with a smile, so I unzip my coat a bit and reveal Freddie's little face. She almost burst with excitement!

It is nice though. I like when people make a fuss of my kids. I feel like I can't be doing too bad of a job with them if total or relative strangers look at them favourably ( rather than complain about their loud and unruly behaviour, or call social services because I've threatened to murder one of more of them in public - again ).

Facebook has changed it’s policy for posts to Facebook pages like mine. They are only showing posts to a few likers unless I pay to boost the views. Since I don't earn money from my blog (or at least not much, not even enough to buy one posh a coffee a week) I wont be doing that. The best way to make sure you will see my blog posts is to subscribe by email up there on the right. I usually only email once a week and include an invitation to my blog hop so you can share your posts too.

You can also go to my page, hover over the “liked” button and select get notifications. Then you will see my posts and status updates in your notifications. Mumma Walker on Facebook

Recipe: Pigsty Pie

This is one that we made up, although we are far from the first or only people to make a pie using pork or pork mince and call it a Pigsty Pie. So let's just say that this is our version of it. It smells great and reminds me of stuffing at Christmas, making it feel much more "naughty" than it is! This serves four people and it a nice 9 points per serving. You will need these for the mash: 400g potatoes 400g sweet potatoes 4-5 good sized carrots Salt Pepper Nutmeg Simply chop the roots, boil in salted water until tender, and mash! Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. The pie filling: 10 sprays low fat cooking spray (e.g. 1 cal) 1/2 lb lean pork mince 2 onions, finely chopped 3 apples, diced 1 leek, chopped 5-6 big mushrooms 2 tbs plain flour 1 tsp sage 1 tsp parsley Salt Pepper 1 vegetable stock cube 1/2 hot water 2 tsp English mustard Fry the onions in the cooking spray until they start to soften, add the mince. Once the meat starts to colour add the apple, leek and mush
