Tonight MapMyWalk thinks I walked over 7 miles this evening.
But my FitBit thinks I walked less than 6 miles ALL DAY.
So who do I believe? (without getting out a proper map and tracking my route. I'm too lazy for that. That's why I have apps!)
Then I took a closer look at my map. It looks like I crossed the river a few times. I didn't..... So there I think is the answer to my question.
I don't remember having this problem last time I used MapMyWalk, but then again I used to use my mobile internet data and this time I kept it off line. So perhaps it's struggled to know my exact location?
Anyway.... I still like the app. I've installed it on my iPod (sim free hense not using data) and like that it plays my music as well as the little voice piping up and giving me little updates on how far it thinks I've gone and how fast it thinks I'm moving.
It's all just a bit of fun after all. I'm hardly training to be an Olympian!
Facebook has changed it’s policy for posts to Facebook pages like mine. They are only showing posts to a few likers unless I pay to boost the views. Since I don't earn money from my blog (or at least not much, not even enough to buy one posh a coffee a week) I wont be doing that. The best way to make sure you will see my blog posts is to subscribe by email up there on the right. I usually only email once a week and include an invitation to my blog hop so you can share your posts too.
You can also go to my page, hover over the “liked” button and select get notifications. Then you will see my posts and status updates in your notifications. Mumma Walker on Facebook
