via Instagram https://ift.tt/2OVt3qR Last night the Cubs went to Kendal Snowsports for a spot of night time dry slope skiing. It was flipping FREEZING for the parents and leaders, but the kids had blast. They started of small, but were soon skiing down the starter slope with relative ease. I'm especially proud of my Tom, who only a year or so ago would have been far too nervous to even TRY skiing, never mind whip up and down the slope with his mates with such a big grin on his face. This is why my kids go Scouting!

And because the school holidays have changed this year meaning that we don't have Halloween off school (so no Halloween trip to Legoland Discovery this year!) so I feel the need to do something topical. I have lost count of the number of times people have said "I thought of you / your Freddie the other day when I saw [inset unicorn reference]" Agnes came to see me today and gave me this beautiful MLP. And I really didn't spend 5 minutes brushing her mane and tail. Really I didn't. Because I was at work and that would have been unprofessional. *cough*

I have not been the most prolific of bloggers of late. Having 4 kids takes up SO much time! And for the last almost 18 months I have been working crazy hours at the Biscuit Factory. Working in HR I know better than most the perils of blogging about work - so I just don't do it! And the alarm clock going off any any point between 3am and 6:30am most mornings means that I simply have not had the energy to blog. But next month I start a new job! Don't get me wrong, I have loved the Biscuit Factory, but the opportunity to work in Lancaster again doing not just the office admin stuff I have been doing for recent years, but also eCommerce (like when I first stared this blog) was just too good to pass up. The Walker Household is a very different beast these days. Hubby is now primary carer being full time dad and house husband while I go out to earn the bacon and pay bills.
